A New GnG Family Member, Hobbit Adventures & a Galaxy Far, Far Away
It was another huge week at Gamers N Geeks, but before we talk tournaments, prereleases, winners, or what’s coming next, we have something much more important to celebrate.
👶 Welcome to the GnG Family, Anya!
First up, we would like to welcome a brand-new addition to our GnG community!
Anya Champei Taylor, daughter of our very own co-owner Josh, was born this past week! Josh will be a little scarce around the shop for a while as he gets Anya settled in.
Congratulations to Josh and Syda on their beautiful baby girl! 💙 We look forward to all those important milestones ahead—her first dice roll, her first D&D character, and, of course, the first time she gets to crack open a pack.
Welcome to the GnG family, Anya!
🧙 The Hobbit Prerelease Was a Roaring Success!
What an incredible weekend!
Thank you to everyone who came out for our Magic: The Gathering – The Hobbit Prerelease events.
We kicked everything off Friday night with 75 players, a packed game room, and a little help from our friends at Foosackly’s, who provided chicken and fries for our hungry adventurers.
Then the journey continued Saturday and Sunday with even more players, more Magic, Second Breakfast at our Two-Headed McGiant, and plenty of our definitely-not-copyright-infringing “Dangolf the Wizard” playmats finding new homes. 😂
And guess what?
Prerelease Week isn’t finished yet!
If you haven’t gotten to play—or you still want that Dangolf playmat—you have TWO MORE CHANCES:

🧙 Thursday, August 13

After an incredible Hobbit Prerelease weekend, we've got plenty of winners to celebrate—but Magic wasn't the only thing happening around the shop.
We've got winners from across the GnG community to show off this Wednesday.
And one player couldn't wait until Wednesday for his moment...
